Marmotte Christmas Card Final Design

Alterations made to text on tail, because I will be printing it at such a small size A6 I needed to make the text clearer. I also added more brown to the design to balance it out. Makes it bolder and improves the composition I think.. hee hee

Marmotte Christmas Card Design

Marmotte Yodeling
I know its not a book, but Im thinking I may use this character in a little series (booky)
Im going to hand screen print a load of these at A6 to make xmas cards.
Because its going to be printed very small I didnt want to over complicate it as that would be tricky to print neatly. I need them to be neat and tidy so people will buy them. I decided not to use an overlap as the brown and blue make a mucky green puddle colour and I wanted to try a more regimented design. I will be doing overlap in my next poster though.
would like to know what you guys think?
thanks Daisy

For student magazine 'Spaghetti Junction' illustrating an article on pole dancing. This was really quick and fun to do.

Images cropped for badge production to promote my 'Street Talk' posters. I have ordered badges and pray for them to arrive in good quality. I want to buy a badge press, if anyone has an idea of a good one please let me know. thanks Daisy x

A Christmas card deign for the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design annual competition. Was a strong candidate but didn't win.
Im fond of this character and feel he goofily represents my work. ha.

Fashion illustration done for a pull out piece in online magazine 'Ignite Birmingham' although the pages were cut and this drawing didn't make it in, which is a shame, the ones of mine they did pick i didn't feel were as strong.

'Street Talk' project messages and characters to be displayed on telephone boxes.
I wanted to promote the little happiness that often gets taken for granted in busy modern day life.

This is a Graphic Short untitled.
I wanted to convey a narrative that was not bound to panel boxes. The text and arrows lead you around the page, should be read in a zig-zag formation, left to right, right to left. I really enjoyed making this image and was happy with the final outcome which is rare for me. I may do a simpler version of this story to be printed on a poster. Just thinking of composition ideas. Any thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Daisy
